How long does it take for a new skincare to work?

“Being patient, determined, and steadfast in applying the same item for three months was when I saw true results.” -Tina Guzon, Balansè Skincare Founder

According to the dermatologist, it’s not realistic to expect visible results or what we knew as instant gratification when it comes to skincare. So the real question is how long does it realistically take for skincare products to work?

What started Balansè Skincare is the very experience of our founder, and what better way to answer this question? On this blog, we have gotten the testimonial of Ms. Tina Guzon, and here’s what she has to say:

“I used to have acne all over my face due to genes, acne prone skin, & hormonal imbalance. I came across an article one day that said you should wait a month-three months to see true effects from a new skincare regimen, and that you must go through a skin purging process.

I tried using this on my skincare regimen. Being patient, determined, and steadfast in applying the same item for three months was when I saw true results. It seemed like nothing was changing, but I pushed through it. I used to have acne all over my face-forehead, cheeks, chin... You name it! It was slow pero sure siya.

I believe this is something that more people should understand about...that your skin needs time to adjust to new changes, that you must commit and be consistent in order to see results. My favorite line from these references is this one: Skincare is a marathon, not a sprint 'You can't expect a product to operate overnight when you start using it. Let’s say sa food nalang... When you're trying to lose weight, you can't eat less today and expect to lose more tomorrow. It's a process. It's a dedication.

Individuals frequently think that a product does not work after a few days because they haven't gone through the process, resulting in them switching to another product quickly. This may lead to confusion in your skin if you continuously change the products you put on it. This is why it's critical to allow a month or so for actual results to emerge.

If you believe that a product or treatment is worth the investment, then give it time to work. Be patient and determined in your application of skincare products-chances are that if they're good for your skin now, they'll be even more beneficial after three months!”

There you have it folks! and that being said, it's good to keep in mind that skincare products take time and consistency to actually work.
